Privacy policy

All text on this page falls under the topics privacy policy, GDPR and so on. Basically, it's an excellent idea to protect consumers from big fish who will exploit their information, with/for harmful purposes to harvest something for their own gain. For us little fish who are already dependent on a good and personal relationship with our customers, it is nothing more than a bureaucratic drag.
But the law says we must write it.

Naturally written with a standard template,
have fun with the reading.

Who are we/am I?

Comments

When visitors write comments on the site, the data displayed in the comment form is collected, as well as the visitor's IP address and the browser's user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your Gravatar profile picture (if you have one) will be visible to the public along with your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, you should refrain from uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Website visitors can download and extract all location data from images on the website. It goes without saying. On the other hand, maybe it's not that dangerous, maybe even doesn't matter if someone were to know where you ate a giant soda one day in the summer of 22, so why even worry about that sort of thing.

Cookies

If you write a comment on the website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don't have to fill in your information again when you post another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, a number of cookies are set up and save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen selection cookies last for one year. If you choose "Remember me", your login will last for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will disappear.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and simply provides the post ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website. Youtube could be an excellent example of such embedded content.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including tracking your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that site.

Who your data is shared with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long your data is stored

If you write a comment, the comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of having them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on the website (if any), the personal information they provide to their user profile is also stored. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have posted comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data held about you, including any data you have provided. You can also ask to have all personal data deleted. This does not include any type of data that the site is required to store for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where is your data sent to?

Visitors' comments may be checked by an automatic spam detection service.

Webshop

Information about you is collected through the ordering process on our webshop.

Information that we collect and store

When you visit the webshop, the following will be tracked:

  • Items that you have viewed: The site will use this information to show you, for example, items that you have viewed recently.
  • Location, IP address and browser type: The site will use this information for purposes such as calculating VAT and shipping.
  • Delivery address: It makes good sense to enter a delivery address if you would like to have an item delivered.

The site also uses cookies to keep track of the contents of the basket while you use the webshop.

When you purchase items here, the Site will ask you to provide information that includes your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment information, and optional account information such as username and password. The site will use this information for purposes such as to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your inquiries and queries, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our webshop
  • Comply with all legal obligations that we have, such as calculating VAT and fees
  • Improve our offers in the webshop
  • Send you marketing messages if you choose to receive them.

If you create an account, your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number will be stored, which will be used to fill input fields when placing orders in the future. But then again, the alternative is that it is really difficult to buy an item if you don't want to share the information that must be used for the order to be processed and the item to be shipped...

In general, information about you is stored for as long as the site needs the information for the purposes for which it collects and uses the information, and the site is not legally obligated to continue to store it. For example, the site will store order information as long as required by the Accounting Act in relation to VAT and accounting. This includes your name, email address, and billing and delivery address.

The site will also store comments and reviews if you wish to add these.

Which employees have access

Employees have access to the information that you provide. For example, administrators as well as webshop managers have access to:

  • Order information such as what was purchased, when it was purchased and where to ship it, and
  • Customer information such as your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our employees have access to this information in order to fulfill orders, handle refunds and support you.

Payments

The site accepts payments via PayPal. When making payments, some of your data will be shared with PayPal, including information necessary to complete or support the payment, such as the total purchase amount and billing information.

Please see the PayPal Personal Data Policy for more information.

Finally

So I hope you got something useful out of this amount of bytes that are now just sitting there taking up space in cyberspace...
